چکیده
Bleaching has become the treatment of choice for most tooth discolorations. In-office bleaching and at-home are frequently performed vital techniques. Both these techniques proven to improve discoloration, but unwanted effects can also occur, such as sensitivity increased enamel surface roughness. Tooth is a common side effect procedures on dental hard tissue still matter controversy. This literature aims conduct an integrative study with scientific evidence related potential results, roughness, in in-office Method: Analyzing journals from databases Medline (PubMed), Ebsco, Google Scholar, textbooks, accredited national journals. Conclusion: review reveals that same lightening color. Higher was found bleaching, however 20% carbamide peroxide could be higher. An increase roughness occur both techniques, technique more influential

A comparetive study of the effects of home and office bleaching on enamel surface roughness
Introduction: Increase in enamel surface roughness after bleaching is one of its major side effects. The purpose of this study is to compare changes in enamel surface roughness following bleaching with home versus office bleaching agents. Materials and Methods: In this experimental study, forty human sound premolar teeth were divided into 4 groups, randomly. Ten teeth were bleached using hydrog...
متن کاملMicrohardness of demineralized enamel following home bleaching and laser-assisted in office bleaching
BACKGROUND There is little data regarding the effect of tooth whitening on microhardness of white spot lesions. This study was conducted to investigate the effect of home-bleaching and laser-assisted in-office bleaching on microhardness of demineralized enamel. MATERIAL AND METHODS Forty bovine incisors were selected and immersed in a demineralizing solution for 12 weeks to induce white spot ...
متن کاملClinical evaluation of in-office and at-home bleaching treatments.
This three-month, single-blind clinical study compared two whitening treatments, at-home with 10% carbamide peroxide and in-office with 35% hydrogen peroxide, for the degree of color change of teeth, color relapse and tooth and gum sensitivity. The degree of color change and color relapse was evaluated by using a colorimeter, shade guide and color slide photography. Teeth and gum sensitivity we...

Reprinted from Dentistry Today (2000:19(4):44-53), c2000, Dentistry Today, Inc. Introduction In-office bleaching of teeth has been in use for approximately 125 years, with little change in science or technique during that time. When at-home "nightguard" bleaching using carbamide peroxide was introduced in 1989, it appeared that the in-office approach would quickly become extinct. However, there...
متن کاملInflammatory response of human dental pulp to at-home and in-office tooth bleaching
Objective: This study evaluated the inflammatory responses of human dental pulp after the use of two bleaching techniques. Material and Methods: Pulp samples were collected from human third molars extracted for orthodontic reasons and divided into three groups: control - no tooth bleaching (CG) (n=7); at-home bleaching with 15% carbamide peroxide (AH) (n = 10), and in-office bleaching with 38...
